Josep Borrell Fontelles, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of EU commission met Sunday in Riyadh with Dr Rashad Al Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen to express EU’s support to the Yemeni people and the P.L.C.
In a post on X, known before as twitter, the EU official added “We also discussed the urgency to reinvigorate the UN-led peace process and address the humanitarian catastrophe”. He also added that he agreed with Al Alimi on the urgency to work on de-escalation in the Red Sea and the important work done by EU operation in the Red Sea known as “ NAVFORASPIDES”.
Earlier The EU official, wrote on X that he is in Riyadh for “A chance to exchange with regional and international partners on the most pressing challenges we all face and the changing global dynamics.”
