The Arab Parliament has reiterated its full support for efforts to achieve peace in Yemen, emphasizing the importance of adhering to internationally recognized frameworks and national legitimacy.
During its latest plenary session held in Cairo, the Arab Parliament issued a statement welcoming recent developments in the peace process, including the UN-led roadmap and regional mediation efforts spearheaded by Saudi Arabia and Oman.
It called on all Yemeni parties to engage constructively in the political process and uphold the principles of the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions—particularly Resolution 2216.
The Arab Parliament stressed the need for continued Arab and international cooperation to alleviate the humanitarian crisis and support Yemen’s path toward stability and development.
This renewed endorsement comes amid ongoing challenges to the peace process, including sporadic violence and political fragmentation.
