From 28 December 2025 to 3 January 2026, 4,752 households (HH) (28,596 Individuals) experienced displacement at least once, according to latest update by International Organization of Migration (IOM) Yemen DTM’s Rapid Displacement Tracking (RDT) tool.
IOM Yemen DTM also recorded 3 returnee households in Al Hodeidah governorate returning to their locations of origin during the reporting period.
Safety and security concerns as a result of the conflict were the main reason for displacement, followed by economic reasons related to conflict.
IOM Yemen DTM’s Rapid Displacement Tracking (RDT) tool collects data on estimated numbers of households forced to flee on a daily basis from their locations of habitual residence or displacement, allowing for regular reporting of new displacements2 in terms of estimated numbers, causes of displacement, geography and needs. It also tracks internal displacement persons IDP returnees who returned to their location of habitual residence
